Why Attend A Meditation Retreat?

Consciousness is like a delicate plant. Although we try to nurture it amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life we sometimes feel it's a losing battle. All meditators, whether just beginning, or very advanced, need occasional opportunities to retreat to a peaceful environment and catch up with the needs of the spirit.

A retreat is an opportunity to do longer and deeper meditation in an atmosphere free of distractions. This helps us overcome obstacles which may have been hindering us in our own environment and achieve states of consciousness which might otherwise take a much longer time to reach.

A retreat gets us into the rhythm of meditating regularly. Once we have experienced this rhythm we feel inspired to keep it going when we come back to our normal life.

A retreat creates a unique and beautiful spiritual atmosphere which is a rare event and something to be treasured and remembered. Retreats can often be like milestones in our spiritual lives.

The tour section of the program is like a moving retreat – a spiritual caravan. While on tour, we meditate 2 or 3 times daily, sing kiirtan (mantra), eat healthy vegetarian food and enjoy the company of spiritual people from different parts of the world. What better way to see the wonders of Jordan?
